A total Muppet Baby, Soony is a Dearborn, Michigan native and just turned 19 on August 17th! The kid is a massive record breaker. In high school, he scored a state record of 76 goals in a season and a high school school career total of 172 goals and 51 assists – another record. For those not in the United States, high school is 4 years here. Damn. In 2009-2010, he was voted the Gatorade National Player of the Year. In his freshman year at the University of Michigan, he scored 19 goals (breaking the record for most goals by a freshman at the school) and set record for shots and overall points. That year Michigan won their first Big Ten championship and he was voted Big Ten Freshman of the year. His brother Hamoody was also on the team. He left college after his freshman year and signed a pro contract with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. He made his debut on his 19th birthday and scored at 72′, a mere 9 minutes after he entered the game. He has made one appearance for the United States U-20 team in December 2010 and scored. This kid is gonna be one to watch! I think all that record breaking deserves a second picture. Go Muppet Baby Go!

Ooh! He’s cute!
Hmmm…I wonder if I’ve ever run into the kid, Dearborn is SMALLL! He’s cute for one of our High School rivals 😛
Ha!!!! I was wondering if you knew him. I was like “Oh crap, what if I just Drooled Maisougio’s prom date or something?!” But I realized he’s a bit too young that!
Ahhhhh! That would have been so funny if indeed, he was Maisougio’s prom date…or something!
He played for Vardar, which is a travel team in Michigan. My coach had coached him and we always hear stories about how hard he worked. Congrats to Soony for making it so far.
Oooh, it’s neat to hear a personal perspective on one of our Drools – thanks!
OMG.
How can anyone that cute exist?
