It’s official! Pirata is a papi! He and his wife Marta welcomed a baby girl, Julia, a few days ago. Really wonderful news to end the year on. The notoriously private couple haven’t posted any pictures yet, but you know when/if they do that it will be something artsy, like a moody black and white shot of the baby’s finger or something. Marta did post some beautiful pregnancy shots though here and here. In fact, the only reason I heard about it is that Best of You Sports posted a congratulations to the happy family.
Congratulations to Esteban and Marta! With those parents, undoubtedly Julia will be gorgeous, smart and talented. (Wonder what Uncle Leiva got them for a baby present, eh mygypsyspirit?)

The team held their final session before welcoming Espanyol (and El Pirata!) to the Bernabeu tomorrow.

The glorious and civic minded Esteban hosted the third annual Cena Pirata charitable dinner last night in San Sebastian. 
While it was nice to end our year with a 3-1 win today, there were moments of sadness. First, no Pirata and most upsetting, Jailbait!
