It’s been a long time coming! Absolutely delighted that after a decade together the USWNT’s Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris (aka Krashlyn) were married on Saturday at an emotional ceremony in Miami.
Ali’s dress was designed by Pronovias (as were the mothers of the brides and the bridesmaids) and Ash sported a custom Thom Browne tux (as did Kyle Krieger and Megan Rapinoe, also in the bridal party). They are both as gorgeous as ever.
They had their rehearsal dinner the night before (Ashlyn again in a custom outfit from Thom Browne).

The wedding officiant was none other than Sydney Leroux Dwyer!

The happy couple changed into shorter versions of their wedding outfits for the reception so that they could rock it out.

And the media went nuts. Vogue followed Ashlyn through her fittings with Thom Browne. People posted the first official wedding pictures. Did you ever think you’d see the day when lesbian footballers would be fawned over in major US publications? It would have probably have been inconceivable a decade ago when Krashlyn started dating. But I am glad that it is happening now and that these two have finally tied the knot. I love them together.
