It’s always nice to start with the booty shots isn’t it? I think so. Well it’s crunch time for the last eight! Things are going to get tougher, quieter, & more serious as the tournament winds down. Spain will have a closed training tomorrow, BOO, and I don’t know how many other teams will decide to cut us off, because that is what they’re doing! Anywho, Spain & France got to doing their thang today and because the amount of both team’s photos were kind of light, you get a face off training post! Double the yums, ooh’s, aah’s, and woot woot’s.

Negredo is still trying out his goalie skills, bless him, his efforts are adorable but the time came for the pros to reclaim their box. I could stand to see a few more amateurs get tangled up in the net though.

A couple of lucky fans got to meet some of the boys today and we get to see just how bright Nando’s hair is under some fluorescent lights. It’s very Village of the Damned…great & now I’ve scared myself.

On to France! It’s crazy to see how differently the teams train, you go from the general jolliness & ring around the rosie drills with Spain to the more serious, but extremely steamy French sessions. Oui, oui!

UPDATE: I love it when things slip my mind *sigh* Lozil gave me a heads up to this article about the French NT post-Sweden loss. Apparently, the players were involved in a “heated dispute” after the match. Laurent Blanc says that it’s all good now, but I find it worrying. We all know that if the players are at odds in the dressing room, it’s going to show on the pitch. It’s too late in the game for France to crack now, I hope they come forward on Saturday and play their best.

What’s up with the cast-like thingie on Navas’s right arm? Wrist or finger problem???
Early on in the tournament, he injured it during training & I think he’s just kept it wrapped as a precaution. I don’t believe anything is broken or that it’s a serious issue, he can still score with it!
When Navas bitchfaces, he looks like Jafar (from Aladdin).

i heard about the france ‘dispute’ as well 😦 but if everything is fine now like they say, then it’s also good that they’re not letting their frustrations build up until it starts to show on the pitch, and hopefully it will motivate them more against spain after a loss… i think this means i’ve decided i want france to win this match ?!

‘Hammam’ has always made me giggle for some reason. There are a lot of Arabic words that make me giggle (it also means bathroom in Arabic, obviously).
