The Week So Far…

I make a whole big statement about starting to post again and then promptly get felled by an epic bronchial infection that has had me flat on my ass all week. Typical.  Anyhow, I’m slowly starting to come out of it now so I’m going to try again! There’s the bulk of a week to catch up on so I’ll do a drive by.

Monday Training, Ballon d’Or Noms & Club World Cup

The team got back to work today (and I’m getting back into it too).  The big news was that Toni Kroos rejoined the group.

Best Of The Best

Well, I got home from work at 10 PM so that tells you what kind of day I just had. But you know who had a good day? These guys! (And a few more not in the picture). It was FIFA’s Best awards in Zurich.

Training, Champions League Draw & Cris Wins The 2015/16 Creepy Torso Trophy

The team trained again today, then Gareth, Cris, Bond Villain and the Peez flew off to Monaco for the annual Creepy Torso Award (aka Best Player in Europe) and the Champions League Draw.

Back To Madrid, Accolades & Families

The team returned to Madrid after Wednesday’s win over Bayern Munich arriving home on Thursday. The game was fun but exhausted (the trip back seemed to take forever). Mygypsyspirit and I spent the following day recovering and hanging out. She left today so I’m getting back to work on things with a very quick catch up.

Euro 2016: French Hosts Send Irish Home in Round of 16

While the result was not what this Irish American would have wanted, it was a good and fair match on a beautiful day in Lyon.

But it’s something completely different when Karim’s follicular tragedies unduly influence one of our best and brightest fully grown men.  Yes, someone else has fallen under the sway of the dead animal pelt coiffure. And it breaks my heart to tell you who.
